Olga’s Guest House, named after its eponymous proprietor,
is a warm, friendly and traditional Yorkshire “bed and
breakfast”.
Whether staying in York on holiday or on business the guesthouse
offer superb accommodation and fabulous breakfasts. The guest
house is perfectly located, a short drive or walk from York’s
historic City Centre with the bonus of easy access to the
North Yorkshire Moors and Dales.

The guest house was originally commissioned as accommodation
in the late 1800s and the guesthouse still maintains many
of the original features from the Victorian era. E.g. ornate
ceilings, marble fireplaces, mosaic tiled hallway and stained
glass internal vestibule doors.
The guest house, located on Wenlock Terrace just off the
A19 Fulford Road, was originally built as accommodation for
Senior Cavalry Officers. The British army has been in the
area since the 1700s and although the original Cavalry Depot
now has York’s Police Headquarters built on the site,
the army are only around the corner at Imphal barracks.
Olga’s Guesthouse offers guests traditional Yorkshire
values of hospitality, comfort and good food.
Families, smokers and even some pets are welcome to enjoy
our facilities and services.
We have a Licensed Bar and one of the best breakfasts the
York & North Yorkshire has on offer.
We are in a quiet location, and within a 15 to 20 minute
walk into York City Centre along a pleasant Riverside Esplanade.
(For the not so agile, there is a frequent bus service into
York City Centre from the top of the street.)
We are also only a 15 to 20minute walk to York Racecourse
on the opposite side of the River Ouse via the new Millenium
Bridge.
